Masai mara

Nairobi national park

Masai village experience
The traditional village is called Manyatta and consists of cow-dung made huts with grass thatched roofs. The huts are placed in a circle with livestock in middle a thick thorny fence for protection against night predators.

Lake Naivasha and lake Nakuru

Hell’s gate national park
Hell’s gate national park lies in south of lake Naivasha in Kenya, north west of Nairobi and it named after a narrow break in the cliffs, once a tributary of a prehistoric lake that fed early humans in the Rift valley. Hell’s gate national park was established in 1984. Fort Jesus Museum
Fort Jesus museum is a Portuguese fort that was build in Mombasa in 1593 and considered as one of the most exceptional examples of 16th century Portuguese military fortifications in the world. This provides the fantastic introduction to the history of Mombasa and the wars that took place between the Muslim Arabs and the European Christian to control the area. The fort today is open as a museum and visitors can explore the Island and view some of the historical structures that are still in existence including Oman house where Sultan who governed the East African coast stayed. An open water cistern which was used by the Portuguese to harvest water can be seen as well as a 76-foot deep well that was sunk by the Arabs.
Visitors can also view various artefacts, pottery and ceramics from the era when Mombasa was a stopping point for slave trade and commodities, exhibits also include the Portuguese frigate; Santo Antonio de Tanna which sank off fort Jesus in 1698 during a siege. A Swahili cultural Centre housed in the museum at the Fort was established in1993 to train Kenyan youth in traditional Swahili crafts, more importantly training business management which enabling the youth with skills needed to become self-employed.
Kakamega forest National reserve
Kakamega forest National reserve is in Kakamega county in Kenya about 350km road distance from Nairobi and covers an area of 44.7 square kilometers of a protected area under Kenya wildlife service. The forest lies in Lake Victoria catchment about 40 km north of Kisumu and east of the Nandi Escarpment that forms the edge of the central highlands. It is in the watershed of the Isiukhu and Yala rivers which flow through the forest before emptying into Lake Victoria.
The forest including reserve covers about 238 square kilometers. It gained National Reserve status in 1985 and was first gazette as Trust Forest in 1933 and two small reserves that is Yala and Isechono totaling about 700 hectares were established within the Forest RESERVE IN 1967.
Kakamega beautiful forest is a home of various mammals such as giant forest hedgehogs, large population of black and white colobus monkeys, bush pigs, pattos and Debrazzar monkeys plus some birds like the Blue Headed Bee Eater, Grey parrots, Black billed Turaco, Turners Eremomela and many more others.
Lake Victoria
Lake Victoria is the worlds largest tropical lake and the second largest fresh water lake, it is shared by three countries that is Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya.

Mt Kenya national park
Mount Kenya National Park was established in 1949 to protect Mount Kenya the wildlife and the surrounding environment which forms a habitat for wild animals as well as an area for water catchment to supply Kenya. The National Park covers an area of 715 square Kilometers and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with forest reserve which covers 705 square kilometers.

Samburu National Reserve
